Julee's potatoes

Ingredients

  • 3 packages frozen hash brown potatoes, defrosted
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 12 oz. sour cream
  • 1 can Cream of Chicken soup
  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups crushed cornflakes
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

 

Mix potatoes, 1/2 cup melted butter, salt and pepper, onion, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese together. Add to baking dish.

 

Mix together crushed cornflakes and 1/4 cup melted butter. Add to top of potato mixture.

 

Bake for 1 hour.


History

Aunt Julee got this recipe from Suzi in the late 1980s. Over time the name has changed from Suzi's potatoes to Julee's potatoes. Both Amanda and Steve served this at the high school graduations, and it's been known to make an appearance at a wedding or two.
