Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Blend together 1 cup flour, 3/4 cup sugar and 1/2 cup margarine. Use a pastry cutter to make small crumbles. Make sure everything is well incorporated.
Peel and slice apples, place in flat baking dish. Sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar, 1 1/4 tsp cinnamon and lemon over top of apples.
Lightly sprinkle topping over apples.
Bake for about 1 hour.
